9 models got Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification
The company launched the Nokia Booklet 3G in August 2009
After the smartphone and TV segment, Nokia is now gearing up to enter the laptop segment. Although no official information has come out about it from the company, hints of Nokia laptops are being found in the certifications on the Bureau of Indian Standards site. It is hoped that this laptop will be launched in India first.
Nokia Launches Nokia Booklet 3G
in August 2009 Nokia entered the global laptop market in August 2009 with the launch of the Nokia Booklet 3G. Now the new laptops will come from Nokia brand license and not from Finnish company.
About 9 models get certification
Tipster Mukul Sharma has mentioned the listing of Nokia laptops on BIS site. According to details shared by Sharma, a minimum of 9 models have received certification from the certification body. These include NKi510UL82S, NKi510UL85S, NKi510UL165S, NKi510UL810S, NKi510UL1610S, NKi310UL4241, NKi310UL42S, NKi310UL42S, NKi310UL82S and NKi310UL.
Received certification on 26 November
As speculated by NokiaMob.net, these model numbers start with NK, which points to Nokia branding. There is also a hint of Windows 10 from the model number. This product can be a laptop, notebook or tablet. This certification is due November 26th.
Unlike the Nokia Booklet 3G, which started at Nokia House, the license for the new laptop will be revised. It is similar to the Nokia Smart TV and streaming device, introduced by Flipkart in India. Nokia phones have been marketed by HMD Global since December 2016.
