In his
national address on Tuesday, Narendra Modi focused mainly on the poor. In it,
he announced the extension of the Prime Minister's Poor Welfare Food Scheme
till the end of November. 1 kg of chickpeas will also be provided free of cost.
The Prime Minister further said that the project area will cost more than Rs
90,000 crore. If the expenditure of last 3 months is added to this, the cost
would be around Rs 1.5 lakh crore.
