Testing:Corolla vaccine of Bharat Biotech started trial at 5 places in Gujarat

Commencement of vaccine testing with medical supervision on thousands of healthy people

Bharat Biotech International Limited, Hyderabad has recently developed a vaccine called Covexin-TM to fight corona. It is currently undergoing a third phase of testing and the company has sought permission from the state governments so that it can be tested extensively in various states. The Gujarat government has now given permission to start the trial in five medical college affiliated hospitals in the state for testing the vaccine.

State Health Commissioner Jayaprakash Shivahare, while talking to Divya Bhaskar, said that he had approached the Gujarat government as the company wanted to conduct a large-scale test. The government has so far approved trials in five medical college affiliated institutions. This test should be performed on a healthy person, not a corona patient. The effects of the vaccine will be tested on the person who first enters the body with the coronavirus. It will also be necessary to get the approval of the person going for the test, but this test will be done only with adequate verification and arrangement so that no one's health is endangered.

Shivhare, however, did not elaborate on how many people will be tested at present. However, according to health department sources, the third phase of the trial could test an estimated 500 to 1,000 people from Gujarat. However, it will depend entirely on those who are available for testing.
