WHO approves Pfizer corona vaccine, India likely to get approval today

What will be the first corona vaccine in the country can be decided today. So far, Serum Institute of India, Bharat Biotech and Pfizer have applied for emergency use approval.


An organization called Serum is developing a vaccine called Covishield Developed by Oxford University and Pharma AstraZeneca. Bharat Biotech, a maker of the indigenous vaccine Covexin in addition to the Serum Institute, made a presentation to the panel on Wednesday. At the same time, the American company Pfizer has asked for more time to present its data.

panel. After getting the approval from the expert panel, the application of the companies will go to the Drug Controller General of India for final approval.
