Big relief: Tank, petrol and diesel prices fall sharply

Petrol was reduced by 15 paise per liter and diesel by 12 paise per liter. For the third time in the last 30 days, the price fell by a few paise to a total of 20 paise. Despite the rise in crude prices in the international market, India has not seen any major rise in the last one month in view of the Assembly elections.

In the national capital, petrol was priced at Rs 70.5 per liter, down from Rs 70.50. In the economic capital, Mumbai, petrol was available at Rs 4.5 a liter.

In Ahmedabad in Gujarat, petrol was priced at Rs 7.5 per liter and diesel at Rs 7.5 per liter. In both cases there was a decrease of 15 paise.

Petrol-diesel prices have been skyrocketing for the last six months. For the first time since then, a sharp fall in international crude oil prices on March 9 last month led to a slight drop in money. Then on March 30, there was a decrease of a few paise.
