An age calculator is an online tool for calculating from the date of birth to the current date. It can also be used to calculate the time difference between two dates. The output format of the time difference is in terms of years, months, and days. The calculation of age or time difference does not depend on the timezone of the individual as the production is the difference in time. This age calculator is based on the most common age system so that it remains relevant to most people.
How To Calculate Age In Excel
To show you how to calculate age in Excel. Here, I have a date of birth and I have a current date that I got using the TODAY function. I want to calculate age based on these two dates. I want to calculate age in years, months, and days.
Now, to do this I am going to use a function called DatedIF. DatedIF is a legacy function.
It is placed in Excel for compatibility with Lotus 123. So if you type DatedIF, you are not going to see any of the functions being shown in IntelliSense, but this function still exists in Excel and has three arguments.
The first argument is the beginning date, which will be here on this date. The second argument will be the last date, which will be the current date. The third argument is an alphabet or a string that tells the DatedIF function what value I want - whether I want the value in years or in months or in days.
In this case, to calculate the total years between these two dates, my start date would be this, my end date would be this, and I needed this value in years. So I will use Y here. Now when I hit enter, it gives me 29, which means that between these two dates, 29 years have passed.

Now, if I want the total number of months, I can get two values. Either I can get the total number of months between these two dates or I can get the total number of months after 29 years has passed. So 29 years and let's say 9 months or 10 months. So in this case, I will use the DatedIF function. This will be my start date, this is the end date.
In this case, if I want the total number of months, I will use M and when I enter. This gives me 357, which means that 357 months have passed between these two dates. But I do not want this. I want to know how many months passed after 29 years. So instead of using M, I am going to use "YM" here.

Now when I hit the entry, it gives me 9 which means that 9 years have passed between 29 years and these two days.
Similarly, if you want to do this for days, you can use the DatedIF function. It's the start date, it's the end date, and if I just use a D here, it's gonna give me the total number of days between these two dates. But I do not want this.

Did I want how many days passed after 29 years and 9 months? So here I will use "MD" and now when I enter, it gives me 25. So in this case, these values tell me that this person's age is 29 years, 9 months, and 25 days with this date of birth and this current date.
