For the first time, two students have scored a perfect score in the NEET exam. Akanksha Singh from Delhi and Shoaib Aftab, originally from Odisha and Kota, have made history by getting 720 marks out of 720 in this exam with AIR-1. Earlier, no one had scored 100 per cent marks in the medical entrance exam.
A native of Rurkela and coached in Kota, Rajasthan, Shoaib has also made history by becoming the first knit topper from Odisha. However, as soon as the NTA's answer key was issued, Shoaib now wants to get admission in the AIIMS in Delhi.
NMC will conduct counseling.
Candidates who have more than 50% marks in this examination will be considered successful. However, seats for admission in medical colleges and dental colleges will be provided through merit-based counseling.
Admission will now be provided by the National Medical Commission, which replaces the Medical Counseling of India.
